Hi, well, I'm a little worried. Like two days ago, I woke up, and my tongue was in pain... I mean, not too much, but, it felt like if I had bitten it but only on the sides... I checked it, ad it looks like both side of the tongue have a cuts, and it feels dry all the time... it bothers me a little when I swallow food or liquids... and the front of the tongue feels a little numb. I wonder what it is... I just started smoking cigarettes the other day, and chewing cinnamon gum... I mean.. could it been an allergic reaction? Maybe the nicotine? Or the spices in the gum? I see tiny bumps on the sides of my tongue, and then I see them all over my tongue... but, I cannot distinguish if they are "blisters" or simply regular tongue "sensors"

I'm not smoking again anyway, or chewing gum, but the feeling of "dryness" and "chopped" tongue still there...

Can someone help me please? Any idea?

Smoking is a MAJOR cause of dry mouth

Stop smoking. Drink plenty of water, eat carrots + celery (they promote saliva production), and chew sugar free gum.

Get back to us in a couple of days to see if things change.

Thanks ISneezeFunny... yeah, I have a feeling it was the cigarettes... I only did it because of a stressful situation, but I do not smoke, nor would consider myself a "social smoker"... it was retarded of me to think that smoking is a solution... but hey, on the bright side, I might be able to sue Phillip-morris! F****n' bastards!.
Anyway, I'll go tomorrow to buy me some carrots and celery. And if it doesn't work, I'll let you know :P... I'm pretty sure that water will do the trick, but it's just another excuse to eat yummy veggies!
