    Cancer and disabled people
Hey I'm hoping maybe someone can help me out or know something... I own my own house, work full time, am married to someone with cancer and is currently not working. I am currently in a lot of debt- credit card, utilities, late on mortgage payments, etc. I also have my brother and a friend living in my house who are both disabled... even though they give me a little bit of money, it is not enough and I am falling behind. Does anyone know of any program or something that would help me out financially for having all these disabled people living in my house seeing that I am the only working and able to earn a living? Any advice, knowledge, prophecies would be so very welcome!

Are they getting state or federal aid, ( disabled) are they receiving welfare? If not, why not? If they are, why are they not paying a reasnable rent to you for living there??

I live in Connecticut, my brother is currently getting food stamps and a little cash assistance like about $200 and he is trying to get social security (his hearing is finally coming up in april), the friend is getting social security benefits and gives me $500 for rent. My husband was on workman's comp but they stopped paying him so I'm trying to tell him to apply for some kind of assistance but he says he can't because the WC case is still open even though they don't pay him and won't because they caught him working last year. Now I do have health insurance for him but it doesn't cover all the costs of the tests and medications... one prescription is like $250 and the co-pay for the scans is $150 and on my meager salary I can't afford this anymore... it's driving me crazy!

I haven't seen the girl that knows the name of the program where they will pay you.
I don't know what all the qualifications are or if they are in your state.

You could check with Wal Mart they are suppose to have medicine cheaper than anybody.

If your brother doesn't have a lawyer and gets turned down I usually tell people try with a lawyer by the second or third time. Also DO NOT let it lapse if he does get turned down-- keep up with the appeals.
