Is there any test data on the auto paint waxes stating catagorically one brand of wax protects better or protects longer than the others?

Of course! Consumer Reports. Most off the shelf sold at Walmart were the best tested.
Turtle wax, ZiMol, NuFinish, all were great products.
I will re post if I ever see that testing, otherwise, check online. Might tell you.

I am goingto have to challenge you on that. I have been a subrcriber to CR for many decades and have never seen anything like you post. In fact, because I have seen only one test done perhaps 15 years ago it appears this type of testing is never done. I have searched on line for about a year and still not a single result.
