My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive for over a year and we haven't gotten pregnant. Everyone we know are getting pregnant. We both eat healthy every day and rarely eat fast food. Everyone else we know drink, do drugs and doesn't eat healthy. I don't want to stop eating the way I do because I have always been healthy and I work out daily. Because it's been over year could one of us be sterile/infertile? Should we get ourselves checked out and ask why we can't conceive if we're not sterile/infertile? Is there anything I can take that my doctor could prescribe to help me gt pregnant? Please someone help me!?

Your BOYFRIEND?! Or HUSBAND?? If you are seriously trying to bring child into this world you should be in a more committed relationship than boyfriend girlfriend. If you have a STABLE environment, that can SUPPORT a child mentally and finnancially. Then go see your doctor there may be something wrong. But if your not married, then maybe you should be more concerned why you BF hasn't popped the question yet, the last thing you want is getting pregnant and having him decide he can handle it.

Have you first determined when you are most likely fertile? That would be the first step if you haven't already done so. There really is a fairly small window of time each cycle to become pregnant, and even with good timing it doesn't always happen. I know it can seem like some people get pregnant just breathing on each other, but there can be a number of variables involved. It can be perfectly normal for it to a take year or so to conceive and everything is just fine. What sort of birth control, if any, did you use before?
If you have already tried various means to determine ovulation, and have that down pretty well, then it might be wise to see your doctor. He/She can do a preconception visit with you and discuss options of if/when to start some testing... some will suggest it after a year of trying, some after about 18 months. This would be for both you and your boyfriend. Sometimes it is a fairly quick fix if there is an issue of fertility for either of you or both, but of course sometimes it can be quite involved.
