The only place I think you would find that is on the Scientific Atlanta web site. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything though. Might be worth emailing them and seeing if they can help.

You can contact Customer Support at Scientific Atlanta at the contact info listed at the following link:

    http://www.scientificatlanta.com/con...mersupport.htm

They will be happy to send you any information you need.

They do not have any information on their products on the website because of the wide variety of equipment they produce and the amount of details on each product is too large to publish.

The only reason I can think of for wanting to do this, is to try and tweak it to steal cable service. In many places its illegal to open and modify cable set-top boxes.

We draw the line at helping with illegal activities here.

I want a schematic to repair my SA. I think after 60 years in electronics I know the rules.

To: tkrussell and LTHEOBALD. Thank you for answering so promptly. I had already called SA and they couldn't find anything on that old a model.

In most cable companies, the SetTop boxes are provided by the cable carrier. If anything goes wrong with them, you just bring it in to the cable company office and they give you a replacement. I can't see the need to repair one. Especially to do it oneself.
