    Toilet leak
I have a wall mount toilet that we cannot seem to seal so that it won't leak. It leaks at the wall where the seal is. Any suggestions.

    Yup! Hey Shellie.

I am assuming you guys already took the toilet off wall and tried a new gasket... yes?

If not, then that is first thing to do. You can use a combination neoprene and wax ring gasket (any home supply store)... or the plain neoprene gasket with adhesive they sell at local plumbing supply house just for this type toilet installation.

Get back to me with all the details you can... have you tried to set toilet? Do you want to try to set yourself? There is a trick or two you need to know so you will not crack that wall hung toilet if you decide to do this yourself... get back to me with answers. Thank you

    OK.. got your e-mail

Most home supply stores sell a wax gasket with an inner neoprene core. I think that works great on these.

If you cannot find one then go with the neoprene type by itself... usually sold with an adhesive.. and usually has directions on how to use it right on the box.

You going to do this yourself?

Our powder room toilet drain was installed 1/2" too close to the back wall. The top of the tank hits the drywall preventing it from sitting level on the bowl. Toilet/Shower leak [ 2 Answers ]

Every time we use the shower water drips down into the basement. Behind the shower plumbing is the master bedroom toilet. I have taken off the drywall between the two, from the toilet side, and I can't see any leaks in the shower plumbing. In poking around I have since noticed that the flooring...

Toilet Leak [ 3 Answers ]

My toilet is leaking. Excuse my lack of technical terms... but the water is dripping from the top of the pan (where the water comes from when it is flushed) and it is dripping down the back in to the water in the pan. It does it consistently apart from for a really short while after it has been...

Toilet leak [ 4 Answers ]

My plumber has set our new toilet 3 times, but it still leaks around the floor. I marked the water level in the bowl, and overnight the level lowered and water was on the floor even though it had not been flushed. Is it a problem with the wax seal or the toilet? Thanks.
