Liver lesions are never a good sign. The liver removes toxins from the body.

    I'd be scared too.

I am a 41 yr old female in 2005 in went in for a CT abdomen and pelvis on the CT they found small lesion seen in the right lobe of the lever on series 2 image 10 appears stable. It measures approximately 5mm. This appears to become isointense to the liver on delayed kidney images. It may represent small hemangioma. There are 2 other tiny lesions in the liver much less than 5mm seen in the right lobe. They are unchanged. They6 remain low density on delayed imaging and probably represent small cysts. I still continue to get MRI every 6 months. My fear is I have had 4 deaths in my family related to cancer, one of which was liver cancer. My aunt was dx with liver cancer 1 yr ago. At first they told her it was just lesions, nothing to worry about they dx them hemangiomas. She stated have pain in her left side daily to the point it became unbearable, at which time they did further test MRI and bx which was found to be liver cancer. Unfortunately, it was to late her cancer was inoperable. She past away 4 weeks ago today. My fear is I have so many family members dx with cancer that have all past way. My father past away 5 weeks ago from lung cancer. Someone explain to me why I should not be worried? Thank you, Morenia

Hi, I am 46 years old Last Sunday I had severe pain in my abdomen which lasted several hours on Monday I went to have a ultasound done thinking it was gallbladder, it only showed thicken of the wall, I also had a fullness in my throat, that I did not understand. Went to another doc on Tuesday thinking maybe kidney stones, found a small cyst like around my pelvic bone. Then Friday had a CT scan to check gallbladder and Pancreas, they found a tiny low density lesion less than 1cm in the right done of the liver, states could be either a cyst or hemangioma or similar benign etiology. Now I am being told that is normal. Just like the other person cancer runs very high in my family, my grandmother had liver cancer and it was to late when they found it. They always told her, her pain was nothing. So what do I do now?
