    Relocation Assistance
    I need help with this one.I live in Los Angeles County.I have been served a 60 day notice to quit from my landlord.I have lived here for 11 years.My landlord bought this property about a year ago this December.He is tearing down a front one family home,my unit is a back guest house and also there is a apartment converted from which was originally was a garage,which a couple lives there as well,will be torn down as well, for condos.I am 49 years old,I am healthy,and live alone here.I was told by my previous landlord that it was rent controlled.In the 11 years I have lived here my rent went up 35$.Do I qualify for relocation assistance from my current landlord?Hopeto hear from you soon,Mikey D

    You'll be smart to contact the County and check with them ASAP on this. Pick up the phone and start calling them. They will direct you to the right county agency probably after the first call.

    If the property was rent controlled, the count Housing Dept will know.

    If this was a rent controlled apartment then yes, it is likely you may get some payment. Your first stop will be check and see if it is or not.
    Also you city rent control office will have most likely info on your rights.
