    Shower Drip
My shower drips constantly. I have changed out the hot & cold shower cartridges(?) but to no avail. I realize I am wasting precious water and it has become so annoying that my hard of hearing husband has started putting cotton in his ears at night just to sleep. Help! :( Sleepless in Florida.

Oh, by the way, our shower did not leak until the maintenance people in our community changed our main water shut off because it was leaking! Thanks in advance for your advise.

Tell us... this is a two handle shower valve?

If this is two or three handle shower valve, then you may need to change the seats that the cartridges set into to stop the flow of water.

Here, remove cartridges you installed, and reach in and see if you can feel/see bumps/nicks in the brass fitting at the back of valve. If you do.. then these will need to be removed (using large allen wrenches). Each shower has different size seats... so they would need to be brought to home supply store, or even better... a plumbing supply house.

Also, see if you can find a name on that shower valve... or post a pic. Under GO ADVANCED at your next post.

If this is a single handle shower valve, then give us the name on it, or again, post a picture so we can advise further. Good luck.

My shower head continuously drips in my shower stall after I have turned the water off. The funny thing is, it is a hand held so it is enough to push it up the hose and out. I have adjusted the faucet knob and it made no difference. If I take the shower head off the holder and let it hang, I...
