Computer will start in safe mode, but powers down in other modes
Well, the title pretty much says it all. This just started happening tonight. The computer powers down on start up after the "Windows" screen comes up and the status bar starts chugging away.

I can start up fine in Safe Mode.

Any ideas as to how to fix my problem? I've got a big project I have to finish this weekend!

    Hello,

That was a good piece of troubleshooting before posting! So, my assumption now is that it is most likely hardware and/or or driver related and (in my opinion), the video card is a good place to start. So, if you are lucky enough to have an integrated video in your bios, I would unplug my graphics card (assuming you have one), then reboot into bios setup, select integrated video or graphics, and test. This is really a shot in the dark so give it a try (if your hardware matches my assumptions) and let us know. However, I'm sure more suggestions with be forthcoming as well if you prefer to wait.

Maybe a system restore can fix your problem.
