Should I file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
I am $30,000 in DEBT I have 3 small kids ranging in age from 11-5 years old. I am a current student going for my associates only 28 years old I have one job making $9.00/hr. I don't see how I will ever be able to pay off this debt they r not credit card debts. I've got school loans and so on. I'm a single mom paying rent, bills, car ins. etc. My question is should I file for bankruptcy and start fresh though I know my school loans will not be effected or should I hang in there and start a new budget for my family? Really as of now there is no budget I've been going paycheck to paycheck Please someone help!!

If they are not credit card debts what are they? How much of it is student loan, how much of it is a car loan where you want to keep the car,

Just not enough information provided to even start giving an answer.

Why did you get 30,000 in debt ( and why did they let you borrow that much) making 9 dollars a hour

How for in school are you, if you will graduate this year, then do you see getting a 50,000 dollar job within the next year. Are you getting child support for the children ( since I will assume there is no spouse working) if you are not getting support why not ?

mswg says: "Really as of now there is no budget I've been going paycheck to paycheck Please someone help". I interpret this to mean that you make purchases based upon need and whim because everyone is on a budget. One thing facing you is that expenses for you and 3 children always get more expensive, so you have to be a very smart and frugal shopper. I have no hesitancy to recommend bankruptcy, but you need to have your budget worked out beforehand as long as you aren't being garnished. Just remember that income = budget, or it will do no good to file bankruptcy.
