    Difference between president king & dictator
    Explain the difference between a president, a king, or a dictator. :eek:

    The difference between the three is this. A president is voted in by members of the country, company, or other entity. That is why places that have presidents also have elections. Dictators are people that more than likely have taken over the country by force and rules with an iron fist and kills off anyone that does not agree with their beliefs or methods. A king is a person that receives their position because of the family that they belong to. Their family is royalty and therefore, once they become a certain age or the preceding king dies, they assume the position as king. To give you a picture of the three: George W. Bush (President) was elected in. Sadaam Hussein (Dictator) basically took over the country. Prince Charles of England (Prince/Heir to Kingdom) will inherit the king status because he is from the royal family in England. Hope that helps.

    A president claims legitimacy by voters in a free election. A king claims legitimacy from God. A dictator claims legitimacy with force.
