Say goodbye to the late night binge?
Okay, I'm one of those people who try to lose weight off and on and off and on etc. but I can never seem to stay on a diet because I get into one of those slumps where, even if I'm losing weight I just think "screw it, whats the point?".

However, I lost some weight when I got a cold a couple weeks ago, because I didn't snack. I ate regular meals but I was just never in the mood for snacking. I actually had to force myself to eat meals because I was just never wanting to eat. Everything just sounded gross.

In short, I realized I'm active enough to lose weight if I just stop overeating and snacking.
Does anyone have any suggestions on keeping those cravings down?

You can probably satisfy your cravings by giving in just a tiny bit. For me, I'm basically addicted to mini peanut butter cups. Lol so when I'm craving them I just have to be very self disciplined and only let myself have a couple and then I make myself put them away. Snacking in and of itself is not bad, its all about what you're snacking on and how much you're snacking on it.

    Fruits.

I'm a med student, so staying up until 4 in the morning is... normal. Eating a meal at 2 am is also... normal.

What's open at 2am? Mcdonald's... krystal... waffle house...

Needless to say, I gained quite a bit of weight.

So I decided to go get protein bars, protein shakes, granola bars, and fruits.

Oh yeah, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are good too.

Yeah when you have cravings eat fruit, especially citrus fruit and berries.
Or green beans and protein. The more you eat these type things the less you will crave sweets and snacks.

Late night phone calls [ 24 Answers ]

I have always been somewhat of a night owl, and especially so now that I have a young baby to care for. Most nights I am up until 2 am and sometimes later.
