    F1-CPT taxes
    Hello

I am a citizen of India, doing my masters in CA, USA on F1 visa. I have received W2s totalling my wages for 2007 to about $27800. The Federal and State taxes have been deducted at source totalling up to $3500 approx.

Which forms do I file for 2007 taxes? Which deductions can I claim? How much can I expect to get back?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    Thank You.

You need to file Form 1040NR-EZ and Form 8843.

If you MOVED for the OPT and paid out-of-pocket moving expenses, you can file Form 1040NR with DForm 3903 to claim the moving expenses.

Form 8843 still needs to be filed in either case.
