    Skin Lightening
    Hello:

I'm certain it's not politically correct for a white man to notice that black people buy skin lightening products. However, I ain't never been too good with PC stuff anyway.

I want to know why black people do that. I know that lighter skinned Mexican people are "preferred" in their society. I suspect, unhappily so, that the same is true here. Is it?

I also want to know if those skin lightening products work, or is it just a scam.

I wonder the same Excon. And it seems to be picking up in volume the number of inquiries about it.

I wonder too - Why? And do the products actually work?

I wonder if it's for similar reasons that white people fry themselves at the beach and tanning salons to make their skin darker.

    Crazy isn't it?

Some people just aren't happy with the way they are. They try to lighten their skin a little because they don't like how dark they currently are. Of course, they often take it too far.

A girl at my school used to get made fun of because she was so dark skinned. It's awful for people to do that because it's something she can't help.

Although, that girl was a bully and kind of deserved it.

A lot of people of color suffer from discolorations of the skin. I am a women of color and I have three different tones of skin. My face is dark but change throughout the year because of the weather. My body preety nuch stays the same(it is very light).

But you do have many people of color who do it because they are not pleased with their complexion. All types of people do it, not just black people. Indian, asian, hispanic , black. Sometimes it is a part of their culture to be light.
