    Memory and reality
Im not sure if others experience this, but its strange, I have all these memories, but some of them, I am unsure whether they actually happened, because when I talk to my family about them, they have no idea what I am talking about, and this uncertainty has made it very confusing for me to distuingish between the real memories and these strange un memories...
For example, I remember standing in the kitchen at a very young age, and asking my mother "what is my name? Who am i?"
It is my earliest memory, and it is so clear and real to me, but it doesn't seem logical to me...
Then another one, where we went camping as a family, yet I am the only one who remembers that trip happening, and I also remember lots of little details, like walking and looking for possums, and hanging out with this chick, and seeing a man sitting on an esky, who may or may not have been a ghost...
Also, I often have dreams which seem so real, that I do not know they are dreams till I wake up, and am sometimes confused for a while, about whether they were dreams at all...

Anyone else have anything like that?
    Just curious.

For your reference, I can remember many specific childhood events that my parents could not specifically recall. Obviously, these things were very important to me and most likely happened at a very young age when I was just starting to absorb and process information received from my 5 senses. And, as far as strange remembrances, I can remember lying in my crib, and a monster would "tickle my feet" almost routinely on a nightly basis (and yes I did see the monster). Now, I know there really wasn't any monster but I remember seeing him routinely; go figure. Now, because of that remembrance, I wear a clean pair of white socks to bed every night so I won't be so easy to tickle in case he ever reappears; however, I haven't seen "hide nor hair" of him in well over 55 years.

Maybe you are a "Lucid Dreamer." You could have the natural ability to control your dreams and make them your chosen reality. If you don't know you are doing it, then it may seem as if it really happened. That would be awesome! Many people try to learn the skill but find it very hard to do. In my case I just like to sleep and don't dream much. When I do dream, it's just about a huge can of Spam going round and round!
What ever the case may be, don't worry too much about it. Just go with it and see what turns up.

I too had memories from childhood that appeared in intensive therapy when I was in alcohol rehab for 5 monhs over 20 years ago. It was part of the regression phase. When I confronted my mom with those memories, she denied them, but her eyes could not look me straight in the face. So, go figure.

As far as the tickled feet go, I have a foot fettish when it comes to babies, and maybe your grandma or grandad would sneak in on hands and knees. My daughter has such sensitive feet now through all of it, but does not mind. One of the first things I did when I held my new grandson was to put his beautiful 'footzers' in my mouth and I'm sure he'll have memories of that some day. So, what I'm saying is part could be fact, part fiction for protection of sorts - as most children's minds attempt to protect them as best - until the mind feels that the information can be worked on and discarded at a later age.

At 57 now, when I dream of looking for a bathroom all around the world, it for sure is time to wake up and find one for real.. lol.

Now, on a more serious note, if you take certain medications, they can induce some crazy dreams and memories too. Maybe even from a past life - the brain is a powerful organ with a 'mind' of it's own sometimes. At least that's my guess.

I've also noticed animals dream, so it is not exclusive to humans..

My mother dreamt at the exact moment, the exact address, and description of the room and woman, where my father cheated on her very clearly. The next day his bags were packed and in the yard. He swore she followed him... so anything is possible.

Hope your dreams and memories are pleasant from now on.
