Washer cold water does not shut off
Kenmore 60 series washer. Last night the cold water would not shut off even when the washer was unplugged. This morning I pulled the washer out and gave the inlet hoses/ seleniod valve a few raps with a small hammer. It appears to be working now but the cold water is still a little slow to shut off. Is the valve something I can service myself? Today is Sunday and no parts are available. I don't want to tear it down if I can't fix it right now.
