Married with US citizen in trouble
A very dear friend is in serious need of advice.
She was an illegal alien, had a bona fide marriage with a U.S. citizen. Legitimate, married in love and because of love.
Her conditional residency is to be removed by September.
She, though, made a terrible mistake. She got involved with someone else and started having an affair with another man. After she finally came to her senses, and told the lover it was over, he(the ex lover) is now harassing her and her husband endlessly. He is sending him emails constantly, forwarding chats and emails they had exchange, making the husbands life a living nightmare. Needless to say, she couldn't regret having started this affair any more, and is going crazy.
The man won't go away. He has a gun. They are scared for what can happen and don't know what to do now. She thinks if she goes to the police, they'll track her status and terminate her residency previlegies.
This man has proven to be completely obcessed and unstable. How can they put an end to this? The husband is going trough the worst time is his life, about to lose his job and the other man does not let go. Help?

So her and her husband would rather be held in torment by this obsessed ex lover? Go to the police, files charges, and let the rest fall in place. If she is married legally, legitmately, why hasn't she applied for citizenship?
