    Toilet Connector Hose Leak
    Hello,

I just bought a Toto Washlet and am now having problems with the toilet connector hose leaking (forgive me if I'm using the wrong terms here, I'm a newbie to this) after I installed it. I've attached a photo. The leak is coming from the just above the metal part that's connected to the valve. Do I need to get a longer hose or something else more complicated?

    Please help. Thanks so much.

I think I'm seeing Teflon tape on that fitting. That's a no-no. Teflon tape is used for tapered pipe fittings. You can put lubercant such as silicone grease on the threads to aid in removal later.

Just make sure the surfaces are clean. If not, you can use 400-600 grit sandpaper to clean them up. Hand tighten. Then tighten no more than 1 full turn.

Thanks for the tip, KISS. I will remove the tape (my friend said it would stop the leak) and make sure it's clean and will hand tighten it making sure not to overtighten.
    Wish me luck.

    Thanks again,
    Grace
