French citizens married in the US, how to divorce?
If 2 French citizens were married in the United States while they lived here for a few months but never filed the paperwork for marriage in France, do they have to divorce? How and where do they file for divorce?

    Kathie,

I believe that France would still honor the vows that were exchanged here in U.S.

What I don't know is whether the divorce can be filed for in France or here in the U.S.

My suggestion would be for them to see an attorney wherever they are living and get their questions answered.
