    Homeowner's Association Dues
I am a member of a Homeowner's Association and we have yearly dues that mainly cover the repair of the irrigation system in our neighborhood. We have a few members who have never paid their share of the dues even though they use the irrigation system. I pay my dues, but do not use the irrigation system. I live in Mesa, Arizona. Can the members of the Homeowner's Association file liens against the people who do not pay and how do we go about it? Thank you for your help!

If you have the right to file a lien it will be stated in the By-laws for the Association. You have to read them carefully. Also check to see if the Association is allowed to include legal fees and filing fees in the lien. If so then you can just contact an attorney to handle the filing and add the costs to the lien.
