I use to like this guy who has never had a girlfriend or kissed a girl before. He did some things to suggest he liked me, and I don’t think it was wishful thinking, others agreed just thought he was shy. His friends found out or figured it out and meddled without asking me and told him Ive liked him and such. I think some of them had good intentions though because Im friends with some of them and I know they didn't say anything bad about me. He told one of them whom he is close to that he doesn’t like me more than a friend. I guess he meant those things in a friend way but Im a bit mad, I feel as if I was an ego boost but Im not sure about him purposefully leading me on since he's so inexperienced. The guy he told it to told me he was sorry for meddling and that things might have turned out differently otherwise. I just think he doesn’t like me and said it wouldn’t have made a difference and then he said maybe. I have since then ignored those friends and this guy. This guy has asked a mutual friend several times why I don’t talk to him anymore- this confuses me a bit since he has nothing to go off except for greetings because I don’t hang around him anymore because school has gotten too busy for me. Its been awhile now and now he acts like he doesn’t see me and doesn’t greet me anymore. Does he hate me or something? Don’t lecture me on the whole using-friends-as-ambassadors, everyone did this stuff on their own accord, I had no clue what was going on for awhile.

What is the real problem?

Are you upset cause a guy isn't paying attention to you after you were upset that his friends acted inappropriately? Are you upset because he was nice to you but said to someone, supposedly, that he only liked you as a friend?

Lets cut to the chase.

Are you interested in him or not? Period??

Or do you just like the attention?

Gee... a shy guy whose friends screw things up is no longer imposing on you... big surprise? You said you've ignored him... and then you wonder why he has backed off... this is a surprise?

I think you need to figure out what you want. If you like him, fine. If not, fine.

But mostly your post comes off that you are irritated that a guy is no longer paying attention to you... after you stopped paying attention to him... after you assumed he liked you a lot more, that he was just shy.

So step up or step out. It is that easy

Either talk to HIM, or just stop all together. Anything else is your trying to find an easy way to get the "truth" when only you and he can figure that out together.

If its not worth the drama, forget about it. Who cares?

I am a shy guy only because of what has happened to me in the past with people and what not but if he is shy u need to talk to him because he might be too shy... (like me)... to talk to the girls he likes or tell them how he feels about u or who ever
