    2002 Montero Limited Noises
I have a "winding" noise coming from the front end. It slows down and speeds up with the speed of vehicle. Once at a complete stop, sounds like something "engages" then noise stops. The light on the 4X4 area on dash, the middle light, keeps blinking. I just purchased vehicle and have no experience with it. Any help would be appreciated.

This needs to go to the shop. The shop will need to address the drivetrain as it sounds to me like the axle is partial engaged and is causing interference with normal operation.
