Sewage a cause of kidney stones?
I've worked in a wastewater laboratory for 8 years and had kidney stones last month. 3 colleagues had the same problem last year. Could there be any correlation between the environment we work in and the kidney stones?

I doubt that it is the actual work environment, but most likely something that you all ingested in common. Do you all drink a lot of soda or coffee on the job? Mt. Dew is especially bad for causing kidney stones. Also if the water in your area is pretty hard, the added calcium deposits would increase your risk. I had a kidney stone last year, and I know how terrible they can be. Good luck with everything!

Kidney stones can be caused by too much calcium build up and crystalize. It is good to take magnesium and vitamin D to aid in calcium absorption.
