How can I develop a Word form with lines so that when I type on those lines they don't disappear other than using control U because that doesn't work.

Example: Name: ________________________
Address: ________________________

Now I want to go back and type on the lines. I have searched high and low for the answer and cannot figure it out.

HELP! My Boss wants me to figure it out.

Create a table, x columns y rows.

The easiest way is to create the table, enter all your text in each box.

Select the table and hide all borders. Then select each cell that you want a border underneath the text and click show bottom border. The borders icon is available on the Format toolbar. [View], [Toolbars], [Formatting]

Actually, now that I look at it. It does work. But I have seen Word documents where you cannot see the gridlines on the page at all. In this document you can still see the gridlines unless you hit print preview. I appreciate your help. But I do believe there is another way. I have seen it in documents but can't figure out if it was something Word use to do and no longer does or not.?
