    Worried about a friend-depression
This friend of mine has been feeling very down this past 6 months. She's very negative about everything, her past, and also the life she's living at the moment. She didn't use to be like that. I try to make her see things more positively, to be grateful for what she has. She does talk to me more than anyone else, but she's not saying everything, she admitted it to me. I keep trying to change her mood etc but it's like she has a wall around her, built with her own thoughts and she won't really let me in. I'm in another country and this makes things worse, since I can't be there and hold her:(

I'm very worried about her because yesterday she told me that all she wants to do is sleep. And I know that could be a sign of depression in the real meaning of the word. I'm no doctor so I can't diagnose her condition, but how could I ever even suggest that she might be depressive? She's a quite 'proud' person..

I'm very worried... :( Could she really be depressive?

We all know that "forever sleeping" is another way to describe death.

Your friend needs an intervention by her parents so she can get help for depression. Can you get in touch with her parents or persuade her to tell her parents that she is very depressed?

I don't know if she would ever admit it to herself... But yes I guess I could talk to her parents or something...
