How to find out if there is a warrant both provincial and canada wide?
How do I find out if there is a warrant for my arrest, I was told by a friend in the province I just moved from that there was one. Obviously I don't want to call up the cops and ask LOL.

What do I do? Who do I ask?

Also I am curious if I can find out if it is provincial or canada wide.

    Hope someone can help

    Thanks

    Sincerely

    Jewelz from Canada

If you did something illegal that the cops would put out a warrant for your arrest, then I guess you'll have to wait until you are in a traffic stop or something and the cops run your name and see that you are wanted. Then you'll know for sure. Why would you ask? Just because a friend told you so? Or is your conscience bugging you?

Some of the paid sites that do backgroun checks will show some, but they are not always 100 percent. I can not talk for Canada, but in the US there is no such thing as a limited warrant, if you are stopped in the US, they will see any warrant out for you. Now if you are several states away most likely they won't hold you.

But then if you did not do a crime, then there would not be warrant, so if you believe there could be a warrant, it means you are doing something illegal.

No I didn't do anything wrong, but right before I moved out of British Columbia the police had visited me to ask me a question about a person I knew. I answered and thought we were all done, but after I left ( a couple weeks later) my friend said the police were looking to ask me something else and I was gone so she said there was a warrant, that the police told her that. It didn't make sense to me, but I thought I would ask. I am nervous.

Thanks for the responses, very kind of you.

Just so you know its probably NOT a warrant, its probably a subpena to testify in court, which in any case I would never take the stand, but I suppose that's up to you... cheers|
