    Appalacian music movie
    I saw a movie several years ago about a lady doing research about appalacian music (or some may call it mountain music). She went about in the mountains interviewing the residents and recording their music. It was a time when recording was still new. It involved
    Had quite abit of singing in it. I can not remember the name of the movie, nor any of the
    Actors. If anyone has seen this movie - please advise.

    Possibly you're thinking of 2000's Songcatcher with Janet McTeer, Emmy Rossum, Jane Adams, and Aidan Quinn.
