    Tax deed sales excess proceeds
A deceased relative of mine had a piece of property in Florida that was sold in a tax deed auction a year ago. I learned that the high bid was about $20k over the taxes he owed. Can I, as the only surviving heir, file a claim for the money? What is needed from me?

    Thanks for your help.

You can try. Not sure if you will succeed, but its worth a shot. Contact the county clerk where the property was.
