    Old 80's fantasy movies
    This is a tough one, because I only remember bits and pieces of the movie. I saw it back in the 80's when I was very young, probably on HBO.

    The only pieces of it I remember is that the movie was bizarre and seemed to involve a kid dreaming or something, and the only vivid memory of it I have is that towards the end of the movie it kept showing burnt toast (or something burning). For some reason my memory tells me whatever the movie was about had something to do with leaving the toaster on while the family went on vacation or something, but its such a vague memory. I remember this being a strange fantasy movie sort of like the neverending story.

    Very very vague, but does this ring a bell with anyone?

    YES! I looked it up online, and the description is exactly what I remember! Awesome, given my lousy memory of it. I'm sure that is the one.
