    What do you think?
We have been trying for 5 months now and I am 1 day overdue for my period, I have VERY sore breasts ( which I never have) I have been going to the toilet a lot, I have had headahes, been feeling a little off and I had some reddy brown spotting when I went to the toilet yesterday and I thought it was my period, but nothing!

I am doing a HPT this afternoon, but just curious what you have to say and your thoughts?

I say hold off on the HPT until morning when the concentration of pregnancy hormone (hCG is at it's highest). You are more likely to get a false negative by taking the test later in the day.

Now, you are only one day late. That is not late in the medical community even for the most regular woman. You spotted today, so your period could still be coming.

Again, take the test in the morning, it's more accurate.

I agree with J9. I also recommend waiting until you are 7 days late to take a test. I know how frustrating it can be to test and test and still get a negative. I didn't show positive on a test until 10 days late. I know the wait seems like it can be forever, but once you are pregnant you've got 9 (10) months to wait!
