    Need to file?
    My son is 17yr he made little over $3000 and get ssi income about $ 1500 does he need to file taxes we live in Indiana

    Yes, he DOES need to file, if for no there reason than to get his refund from the IRS and Indiana.

    You can still claim him on your return due to his age.
