Stolen cat , ex boyfriends family.
A few months ago, I moved in with an ex-boyfriends family. I had a cat that I had owned since she was a baby, and had given her all her shots myself ( my mom used to be a vet) and had bought her all kinds of things. While I was living with his family, I was paying rent, and she was my cat, I had brought her into the household. We had a horrible break up about.. October, and I tried to take my cat with me, to my dismay they took her to the vet and got her chipped! Under his grandmothers name!
I want my cat back, but they said if I come on their property again, that it was tresspassing, and I can't afford an attorney. I don't know what to do.
I've spent a lot of money on that cat, and they are trying to use their vet bills as an excuse to keep her.
SHE ALREADY HAD HER SHOTS
Please help

They sound pretty weird. It's a good thing you aren't living there anymore. Can you call your cat? If she walks off their property, get her.

No, she's an indoor car, and when she's outside, they tie her to a brick so she can't get away. They are pretty crazy, I mean the boyfriend was abusive, and they smoke pot over there religiously, casino addicts, I just really don't want my baby in their environment. Is there anyway t oget the police involved with this?

Do you have ANY proof that the cat is yours? Vet records, adoption papers, anything? Unfortunately, the law may be on their side, since they have the vet records from the microchipping. If you can show earlier records, then you may be able to get the cat back. Otherwise, all they have to do is lie and say that the cat has been theirs forever.

If I can get ahold of the family that adopted her to me, the mothers parents, and have them sign a paper saying so, can I take it to the police?

You can try. I don't know how this all would work out, and there is a possibility that the cops might just say it's a civil problem and send you to small claims court (which can give you the amount for the cat, but can't make them turn the cat over). But you can at least try.
