    how do I balance word equations?
    I have problems like zinc +lead(II)nitrate >zinc nitrate+ lead

    the reason you balance equations is to make it so there are equal amounts of elements on both sides of the >
    so if you have lead(II) on one side the other side needs to have 2 lead as well

    so

    zinc + lead(II)nitrate =zinc nitrate + 2lead


    I'm no expert anyone else?
