Logos in Greek is translated as "word"... but is doesn't mean word.
The Bible passage you are quoting is one of the most mysteriously beautiful, yet highly edited over time as to make almost no sense at all now, unfortunately. It is more like a Rorschach test in its final translation which we read. Each person comes away with an impression.
If I remember correctly, logos is more like "concept"... not word.

"The WORD" is Christ. "HE was with God in the beginning." "In HIM was life, and that life was the light of men." "...And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
(John 1:1-4, 14)
The Word that became flesh was much more than a baby born in Bethlehem. He was eternal. He was there in the beginning.. . Jesus was with God in the beginning and is with the Father again... (David Thurman, Gospel Minutes)

Revelation 19:13-16
He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
The person is in fact King Jesus Christ the LORD who as you can see in scripture is called the word of God. Read His word the Bible for there is no greater authority and it will be the material used to judge us in the future. He loves you and died for you. Seek Him, for there is no greater human purpose than to know Him. God bless.
