    Rebooting with no recovery backup
    I would like to know if I can reboot my acer aspire e360 desktop to its original state when I didn't make or have any backup before it? Thanks

    I take it you don't have your original recovery cds that came with the comp
    Unless you purchase them you could use a windows install and then you would have to download drivers from acer when system is up as there are drivers that acer has that a windows install cd won't have

    I checked the box that came with my comp. and the only thing I find is a monitor cd..
    And what is windows install and how do I get it.. how do I purchase a recovery cd if the store I bought it from don't sell them.. they're charging me $200 to get it fix.. my comp. is only 3 month old.. is there any other way to reboot it and save me money.. help me please.. thax

    What is the exact model numer, did it ship with Vista or XP
    If it is only 3 months old, there may be a recovery partition on the computer itself

    hope it's the right model #'s.. I bought it at best buy... its a 500g's 3 G of ram and it's a vista
    home premium... all I know is that the 500g's is divided into two drive an C drive and a D drive has 227g's each.. I know one is for recovery but I didn't know how to do it but now its too late..

    Oh, I'm am so sorry.. I should have told this from the beginning.. I did have internet with no anti-virus at first... a couple of trojan virus keep poping up so I went to buy norton 360 and intall that.. no more virus pop up.. computer seems sluggish.. files won't save in destination..
    Programs don't work at all or keep shutting off every time I use it... you guys are the experts any feed back will be very appreciated.. thanx

    Boot up in safe mode and run virus scan and spyware scan.
    As the computer boots up hold down F8 and select safe mode

    As it is a new computer there should be a hidden partition on the drive that has the recovery SW, try these steps as it is what I have done to my Acer in the past to recover back to factory SW and defaults, I don't remember anything about a password, but if you used one at one time for the machine that may be the on, I don't use a pw but these instruction should work providing it's a new laptop

    Here is Acer's Support page - it has links to Recovery cds, and email support which I have used, they 're not the fastest to respondm usually take 2-3 days for email questions to be answered
