Where can I bank without fear of the state seizing the account?
I am currently paying child support and have never missed a payment, yet the state of Illinois seized a personal bank account without giving me an opportunity for a hearing. My ex even sent a signed and notarized letter indicating that I have never missed any payments and am current with the support.
I would like to know if there is a way I can have a functioning bank account without the state of Illinois being aware of it.
    Thanks

No. But I would sue the state for their actions.

First you have to find out why they took the money and where it went to. If it was for child support your ex should have it. If it wasn't for that then you need to find out pronto.
