Actually yes, they can come to your home, since it is the child's home life that is investigated as possible causes. Normally they will order you to come in, but they can come to your home if they wish, ( along with children services)

Thank you for your response but even though the child is not in my home he is in a juvenille facility and will be there for at least 2 to 3 more months

Yes, remember once they take the child, they look at every factor in the child's life and will often if they believe there are issues at home, they will do a full study of the home life to see if the child should even be allowed to come home. Remember once in the system, they control most issues of the child.

Was all of it, used to work with the Justice Dept, then in corrections and as a police officer, I have also worked as a child's advocate in children's court. Plus sadly had to deal with over zealous children's service people in the past.

Remember the "rights" of adults do not apply to children, and parents can be held responsible for actions of their children. Once the Juv case worker gets invovled, often along with Family and Children Services,

Yes, if they have a warrant to arrest ( or take into custody, some states don't call it arrest) they may do so without you being home, a parent being present to question or to be there at arrest is just a folk legand.
