    I'm sorry, I'm just still bitter about being told when I was young that superconducting levitation was due to the Meissner effect. Where do the lies end??

    Funny Capuchin.
    There is a book out there though er I think its called The Science of Harry Potter that explains everything in terms of science, it was interesting but completely blows how you think about the magic in the books.
    Not that the view of fictional magic hasn't been destroyed already. I totally agree with you on that.

    Obviously it's just me but I tried to read one of the books and absolutely couldn't get interested - was pretty much the same about the movies.

    My best friend LOVES the series and goes on and on while my eyes glaze over.
