So I have a 5month old daughter and I finally got my first period and began taking my birth control pills again. I took them for 2 weeks and had a period early, but I kept taking them as usual. Now I am on the next month and haven't started my period I am wondering if I may be pregnant or if the pills are messing me up since I haven't had them in over a year. My husband and I are very safe and I know sometimes you can get pregnant on birth control, but we are very much hoping not! We are not ready for another so soon!

It is possible, because like you said yourself you're not always 100% effective. But it is normal for your cycle to be off when you start because. If you're late, you should probably take a pregnancy test.
