Loss of hot water pressure in 1 area
Hi! I'm new to this site & I hope someone can help me out! I've lot hot water pressure in my main shower. The pressure in the rest of the house is normal. The water was shut off a few days ago to have a toilet & shut-off valves installed. There don't seem to be any leaks. Any ideas? Thanks

Please give us more details. What faucets are affected? What I think you have done is to desturb minerals built up on the pipe walls and now they have been sucked up into your faucets where they are clogging the inlet ports. What are the brand names of the faucets or fixtures affected? How old? One handle or two knobs? Do you flush your water heater out on a regular maintenance schedule? Back to you, Tom

It is only the hot water faucet in the shower. There are 3 knobs - hot, cold, & 1 to turn the shower on. When the cold is on by itself & the shower is turned on, it works perfectly fine. I bought the house about 3 years ago & the fixtures haven't been changed since I moved in. now may be a good time to change them? I don't know what brand they are. The insert tab has come off all 3 of them (they're the crystal like knobs). For all I know, they may be original to the house.

I do not flush out the water heater. I didn't know you had to. I've left a message with the plumber that was here Wednesday to come back out tomorrow.

Thanks for getting back to me!
