    Parental rights
My grandson got in trouble and they put him in a group home his mother went to court with him and they got her to sign her parental rights away she thought this was right because they were keeping him in the group home for a while and she thought they needed to have these rights so they could take care of him like take him to the doctors and stuff like that this does not sound right to me and how can she get her parental rights back again I think it is very important that she gets them back before they block her out of his life he is 16 but still needs his mom

She will need to get an attorney ( should have had one the first time) and file for custody to be returned. It is not uncommom for custody to be signed over if it appears they will be in a group home for a longer period.

You need to try finding a good lawyer but from what I have seen it doesn't help any, but probably worth the try.
Fighting with them is useless the more you fight the more they make you look bad.
I could write a book on the things they pulled on me.
They are suppose to ask if there is any family members that will take him in.
If he is in a group home for very long they are suppose to see if they can get support off the mom. They took my son and lied so much I didn't have a chance to get him back. He was in a group home until he turned 18 and they just had me sign for him to go to doctors and so forth. When he turned 19 they tried to get me for back child support.
Fortunately when I said he was 19 she dropped it.

Just so she doesn't get tricked again ---since they made her sign her rights away they shouldn't be able to try and come after her for child support.

My other son they adopted him out and then took away my parental rights and the lady that adopted him wasn't happy because afterwards she realized the only reason they wanted her to adopt him so bad was so the state would no longer have to pay for him.
