Credit card membership fee ruin my credit
I have cptal one credit card which I paid off 2years ago.
I know my I didn't check any capital one mail after I paid off.
But I got one letter from capital one it said if I don't pay my membership fee(which is $47 including interest) until jan.18.2008, they will report credit revenue.
So I call them and ask about that, but they said they closed my account December 26.2007, and there is no balance left.
And they report credit revenue already.
So I send check $143 and that money go out from my bank.
This case can I ask them to remove my bad credit report?
I admit my mistake not checking my capital one mail, but it is not like I used money, and I have my final notice and sent money.
    Sorry about my bad english.

Yes you should definitely ask them to correct your credit report to show account paid in full and closed.
