    I'm assuming you are referring to the desktop. You can change the background and fonts and choose what icons to display and where.

    If you want to "customize ur workspace" i.e.. Change desktop background screensavers etc then make sure your on the desktop screen and right click >> properties.

    Just use the tabs at the top to select what you want to change then if its say desktop just choose your pic.

    If by saying "customize my workspace" you mean something different you need to give a bit more details.
