    Loose kitchen faucet
Help! The faucet in my kitchen sink became loose a couple of days ago. Now when I turn on the hot water nothing happens. Cold water runs fine. I am not knowledgeable about this stuff at all but follow directions well. Thank you!

By loose do you mean the entire faucet's moving around on the sink ledge?
when I turn on the hot water nothing happens.
And this is caused by the faucet being loose?
To help we will have to know what brand your faucet is and the type. One handle or two knobs. How old is it? Have you shut the water off to the faucet and opened it up to check the inlet for a clog or to flush out the hot water supply? Back to you. Tom

Yes, the whole faucet is moving around on the sink ledge. It is a one handle, not sure how old as I just moved in but I imagine it is at least 6 years old. I assumed the looseness and the hot water problem were connected because the 2 problems happened within a couple of days of each other but I guess it could be 2 separate problems. I have not tried to turn off the water and check for clog. I am not sure how to do that!
    Thanks for your response...

There are retaining nuts under the faucet that must be tightened back up.
You may need to purchase a basin wrench,(see image) to get to them.

They are, indeed, two separate problems. To help with the hot water we will have to know what brand your faucet is and the type. One handle or two knobs. How old is it? Back to you. Tom
