The government appealed this ruling, as they should have. The history of the case is interesting, and in no way proves President Bush is either destroying the constitution or a closet member of the ACLU. I think some of the President's critics are bordering on hysteria; still not sure what they are drinking.

Let's get a grip here . He was part of a plot to detonate a radiological "dirty bomb" inside the US . The way I see it he got off easy . He should've been tried by a military tribunal as a traitor and executed .

I have no problem with a military tribunal as long as its purpose ISN'T to DENY access to the Constitution. THAT was the exact purpose of the tribunal Bush set up, and THAT was the exact reason they failed.

You right wingers need to get your priorities in order. First we have the process, and THEN you get to have your revenge - not before.

Just curious, excon: has your posterboy sued the US and President Bush for violating his civil rights? You know the liberal lawyers are more than ready to hold his hand through that process.

Yeah he has .He sued former White House Att. John Yoo earlier this month . By the way His sentencing is scheduled for today so there should be another rash of news stories about his case.

Assuming that the White House blew the case ;and there is that argument to be made since they had to discard the worse charges against him; the big point is that the BDS crowd will take a single case as an example of wholesale trampling on civil liberties.

That is the price he had to pay to get an ACLU/OJ style legal team. No doubt, he has the right to sue; it will be interesting to follow.

If you're going to post cartoons, you should at least make them historically accurate. In fact, Germany was not behind 12/7.
