    Dishwasher Idle Time
I have a GE Potscrubber dishwasher. It cycles through fine - filling, washing, draining, etc. but for a good 15-20 minutes it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. I can hear the motor running, but I open the door and I do not see water, and the sprayer arm is sitting still. What is this part of the cycle all about - does my machine need some kind of repair? I am thinking it is wearing the motor out for nothing.

No, it is before the rinse cycle. Just after the wash cycle.

Dishwasher Run Time? [ 1 Answers ]

I am a first time home owner and was wondering about the run time on my dishwasher. It has a digital timer on the front, and I guess this is why I never noticed before, but it seems to run longer than I think it should. A normal load runs between 115-95 min. light 75-65 min.---Is this too long or...
