Unfortunately often families want to stay in denial over things like this.
How old are you? Are you old enough that you could make an appointment to speak to a psychiatrist about him? Even if the family won't take him, the psychiatrist might be able to talk to you about coping with his issues.
Why won't he talk to you? Is he too depressed or paranoid?

I had a step brother in law named Anthony that had the same problems and he worked too.
I never understood how he managed. He got really bad. Your mom needs to get him help before he is gets too bad.
He sounds like he could be paranoid, even possibly schizophrenic, and he really needs a psychologist but there really isn't much that can be done if he and your mom refuse to find him help.

I'm so sorry your family is going through this. It does sound like some kind of mental illness, there is definitely some paranoia there. I had a schizophrenic friend, and he acted a lot like that when things started to get bad.
I think NOhelp4u makes a great point about talking to a psychiatrist. Even if you can't get your brother to go, it will help you understand what is going on and help you deal with the stress that I'm sure this is causing.
Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot you can do when the person doesn't think that they need help. If he says anything about hurting himself or others, then you and your mom can go talk to the police/hospital, and see if they can get him in for a 72-hour hospital stay to diagnose what is wrong. But you can only do that if the person says they are going to hurt themselves or others. I know a lady who had to do that with her son because he was cutting himself and wrote her a letter about how he wanted to kill himself.
Absolutely keep praying for him. Tell him how much you love him and give him lots of hugs. You might feel better talking to your pastor/rabbi , etc. about this whole thing too. Those people are always here to help.
