I'm working on a drawing for my comic and I've drawn it in pencil or blue pencil, and I'm using a light box. I trace over it with my pen and look at my final result hopefully to see smooth lines, but it is not smooth lines. There wiggly and out of shape. Does anybody know how to get nice smooth lines like comic artist do?

P.S. If your going to say use a crow quill nib pen, I do have it and that pen has also produced wiggly lines, if it is my paper that I'm using that is wrong (I'm using printing paper.) Then please tell me the correct type of paper for drawing my comic.

You definitely want to change paper.
An art store should be able to tell you the best kind to use'
I would try an acid free paper Pen & Ink Sketch Books
You might also be able to buy a sample pack of paper for ink at a good art store.

I don't know I use the watercolor pencils that turn to watercolor when you wet them.
I never used anything but a crow quill pen as far as pens.

I would try Bristol Pad for pencil and ink
100 pound paper
Smooth, not vellum finish

You can in some stores purchase one sheet at a time, rather than a whole pad. Don't know if this suggestion will help but hope so. :)

Oh yeah, Bristol pad! I remember feeling one of those sheets of paper. It's very smooth. Duh, why didn't I think of that before:rolleyes: . Thank you so much! :D Do you have any pen suggestions?

Yeah I was just thinking bristol board myself, but I couldn't remember which one for ink hot or cold press. I also remembered using a rapidograph pen in the 70's but it is pretty expensive

I usually draw my picture and/or pen it.. scan it, then freshen it up in your program of choice, I use manga studio.
