    No,

Most RN scools today do not even teach you how to draw blood as the labs having phlebotomists that do it.

So, I will be graduating in May with my RN, but will never have drawn blood until I am in the clinical setting and the facility teaches their preferred methods.

Nice Christmas thank you, and you?

Now, again, we are not taught to take blood, but we ARE taught to give shots, subcutaneous, intramuscular and subdermal... We are taught to insert IVs, etc... Needles Needles everywhere.

Is there a reason for your concern that I could possibly help you with? Is there a fear I could put aside? Or just a general question?

Yes my christmas was very nice thanks . No I was just wondering because the thought came up the other day while I was reading. So I was just curious to know if that's something that student nurses get into later on.

At my uni in australia (although they all do it their own way) we had to watch a video on how to take blood and then the next day we went to a pathology clinic and practised on clients without having practised on each other or dummies.
